Centre for Health Information Quality is a national UK organisation which aims to improve the quality of consumer health information. It provides advice to patients and carers, information providers and producers on products, services, tools and guidelines and raises awareness of good practice through education and training.
Health Information on the Internet is a bi-monthly newsletter from the Wellcome
Trust and the Royal Society of Medicine providing information on health resources
available on the internet. The newsletter is written primarily for health
professionals, but is accessible to all users of online health information.
The National Electronic Library for Health (NeLH) - includes a virtual 'floor'
(NHS Direct Online) for patients and the public that will enable the user
to have easy access to best current knowledge. NHS Direct On-Line will help
people to address three questions:
